O Jina ! The devotees who have submitted to you are not scared even of a mad mammoth with dripping humor and being incessantly goaded by humming bees. (They are always and everywhere fearless as the quietitude of their deep meditation pacifies even the most oppressive of the beings.)
हे प्रभो! आपका शरण (आश्रय) लेने वाला भक्त सदा सर्वत्र अभय रहता है।
ऐरावत के समान विशालकाय हाथी, जिसके चंचल कपोलों पर मद झर-झर कर बह रहा हो, और मद पीने के लिए मंडराने वाले मौरों के नाद से जो अत्यन्त क्रुद्ध होकर अंगारे सी लाल आंखें किए आक्रमण करने सामने आ रहा हो, वह मत्त गजराज भी जब आपके ध्यान में लीन भक्त को देखता है तो उसका समूचा मद शान्त हो जाता है और आज्ञाकारी सेवक की भांति आचरण करने लगता है।
अर्थात् आपके शरणागत को मदोन्मत्त गजों से भी कोई भय नहीं। (१)
