The Jain Foundation is a not for profit organization, devoted to spreading the foundational values of Jainism, through several powerful, ever expanding, branches like Jain Talks, Jain Yog, Jain Diet, Jain Yatra, Jain Shala, Jain Melody, Jain Parva and Jain Library.
Technology has been used as a platform to bring forth the values of Jainism to appeal to the current generation. It has also been an endeavour to move away from preaching Jainism to highlighting the essence of what this religion stands for. A religion which today science is proving time and again to be accurate to the very last detail.
The Jain Foundation is the brain child of Ramesh Kumar Shah founder of RK Trust, the philanthropic arm of RK Group, which was conceived on April 6th 2020.
To bring forth the foundational values of Jainism and make them relevant to our current generation and beyond.
Ramesh Kumar Shah is the son of Premchand Manaji Shah, the President of the Adoni Sangh, who was a philanthropist in his community.
Ramesh is an invitee to the annual meeting of the Vaiyavachcha Khata, Palitana, founded by Kumarpal V Shah. He is the founder of RK Group, a trading conglomerate and also a recreational agriculturist.
Graduating with a B.Sc. (Honors) degree from Vishveshwaraya University, he is also an alumnus of Harvard Business School, where he completed the OPM (Owners President Management). The Harvard Business School Angels of India has been founded by him.
Ramesh strongly believes in giving back to society and runs three charitable organisations besides The Jain Foundation: Jain Temples in Pakistan, which aims at documenting Jain temples that were left behind in Pakistan after partition; Kalandri Foundation which promotes the development of his ancestral hometown in Rajasthan and Cancerve, an organization to assist cancer patients. His family has also donated a Bhavan in Adoni his birthplace and an Ambil khatu in Bangalore.
Ramesh believes in fasting and has completed 22 Athais tap oli and undertaken Vardhaman tap oli. He has three children and a loving wife. His eldest daughter is a Gynaecologist, his second daughter is one of the founders of Girnar Darshan and his son is a Schwarzman Scholar.
In his free time, he loves to play Tennis and practice Yoga.
Smita Casuba is a Post-graduate from world-renowned 'Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram', Chennai. She is an exponent of Vinyasa Yoga and has been teaching yoga for the past 12 years to students of all age groups. She also has had the fortune of training many celebrities.
Smita is avid learner of Jainism and Jain Yog with special focus on benefits of aasanas, mudra & pranayam.
At The Jain Foundation, Smita also plays several roles such as Wellness Head, Editor, Moderator and manages the Jain Yog Vertical.
Vipul Jain is a Jain Scholar who has received the title of 'Nyaya Shastri' from Acharya Akalankadev Jain Nyaya Mahavidyalaya a branch of Pandit Todarmal Smarakh, Jaipur. He further went on to complete his MA in 'Jainism and Comparative Religion and Philosophy' from Jain Vishva Bharti Institute, Ladnun. He is also certified in Bharatiya Sanskrit Gyan Pariksha, has provided support and been a research assistant to the National Manuscripts Mission. Vipul ji has previously served as a superintendent at Akalankadev Jain Nyaya Mahavidyalaya.
His work at summer camp and during Paryushan festival for spreading the word of Jainism to benefit society is on-going.
At The Jain Foundation, Vipul currently plays the role of Editor and also works on Public Relations.
Siva is a specialist in UI/UX Design and always looks for opportunities to learn new techniques and ideas to improve his skill set. He enjoys traveling. At The Jain Foundation, Siva works as a UI/UX Designer.
